What is Shiatsu?
Shiatsu is a Japanese word, which means finger pressure. However it is deeply rooted in traditional Chinese medicine and therefore is very helpful for maintaining good health and preventing illness. It is a form of physical manipulation and a means towards the growth of the body, mind and spirit.
In Shiatsu, thumb and palm pressure is used on the body’s channels and is given through loose, comfortable clothing.
Conditions helped by Shiatsu:
Headaches & Migraines
Stress & Anxiety
Neck & Shoulder tension
Joint pain & reduced mobility
Fatigue & Insomnia
Acute conditions can respond in one treatment, however more chronic problems may require more as the body relaxes and re-balances.
Pauline Caffrey is an established Shiatsu practitioner since graduating from The Irish School of Shiatsu and is registered with the Shiatsu Society of Ireland.
